FAQ
How do I clean my Nalgene Bottle?
All of our bottles are dishwasher safe but the lids are not. We recommend placing them on the top rack and away from any heating element. You can also wash by hand. Fill your bottle about 2/3 full with very warm water and a few drops of bleach. Put the cap on, shake well, then let it sit for an hour. You can use a bottle scrubber to scrub out the cap and bottle. Rinse well.
Â
Can I freeze my Nalgene Bottle?
Yes you can. However, only fill your bottle about 2/3 full to allow for expansion (and prevent cracking).
Â
What type of plastic do you use?
We use Tritan Renew for the majority of our bottles. It is our new material derived from 50% waste plastic (using ISCC certified mass balance).
Â
What is your warranty policy?
Nalgene bottles and containers have a durable design made to combat waste and withstand a lifetime’s worth of adventure. If the unthinkable happens, rest easy, we have a Lifetime Guarantee that covers functional damage to the bottle or containers such as cracks, breaks or broken components from regular, intended use. The guarantee is limited to functional damage to bottles or containers and does not cover loss or stolen items. It also does not cover cosmetic damage including scratches, nicks, or worn prints. If you feel the damage to your bottle warrants a replacement, please submit a warranty claim here. Please note that all claims are subject to review and we reserve the right to reject claims that do not fall within guidelines of the guarantee.
Â
Are all your bottles BPA free and safe to consume from?
Yes, all of our bottles are free of BPA, BPS, BPF and phthalates. You can find more information here.
Â
Can you do custom printing on bottles?
If you're looking to have a custom logo printed on our Nalgene bottles, please reach out to our Canadian distributor Red Pine Outdoor and they will guide you through the process. Their contact email is info@redpineoutdoor.com.
Â
What is Mass Balance?
Nalgene Outdoor uses Tritan Renew material derived from 50% recycled plastic using ISCC certified mass balance. This is an accepted and certified protocol that documents and tracks recycled content through complex manufacturing systems. It’s used when sustainable inputs like recycled plastic are mixed with traditional inputs like fossil-fuel-based feedstock. To learn more about Mass Balance, click here.
